A few years ago when looking for a villa to rent in CVO for a holiday, one owner sent us a video of their property when we enquired about it - it wasn't the property we picked in the end but it was nice to have a 'virtual' tour. It came with a pre-paid envelope to return the video. And this was just for renting purposes. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience although that maybe voyeuristic tendencies!!

I take your point nightrider, but no agent would (surely) allow someone to sit in their office and watch a video and then replay replay replay..so they could break in later. In all honesty 90 per cent of villas here are empty 9 month a year...all any thief has to do is go to any urbanisation and help themselves...why bother going to an agent who would take their details anyway when they can just go along and break in where and when they want

personally I would prefer someone to watch a video of a house I was selling, than be involved in cleaning house and waiting in for hours for someone to turn up (sometimes they dont or cancel)

once again I would suggest that more villas could be sold here if more viilas were seen by buyers...video is one way to do it.

presentation of property has improved (thanks to house doctor) but methods of selling by agents has not.

Hi Martin,
The above is what I am concerned about and whilst I fully appreciate this is the "Carvoeiro" Forum, nevertheless I was refering to any property and situated anywhere.

thought about living in france and videos were sent to us of lotsa prperties..all the inside and outs but the people there looked so soddin miserable it turned us off
