One thing that occurred to me. The whole block had a Tourist Licence. As the hotel part pulled, out will the licence be affected? Will the new owners/management need to reapply? if so as the complete block or individually? Worth checking.

The tourism exploitation is officially ´temporarily suspended' by the hotel at tourism authorities and I think it will be definitely suspended in the near future.

Most probably individually any apartment owner must reapply for a tourist license if they so want.

We met a swiss couple who were taken round as part of a property viewing trip, the walked in, it was dark, damp, very poor condition.
They walked straight out and bought elsewhere.
I feel very sorry for existing owners some of who, a few, have painted the outside of their units which makes the rest look even more dilapidated.
Great location but needs a fortune spending on it to bring it into the 21st century.

had a walk around it today, poor thing is a shambles, the rear looks tantamount to rack 7 ruin; in the front the decor is bad & all I saw was one couple putting their washing out, looks awful!
& I saw a 2 bedroom apartment for sale in there, fully furnished, €90,000;
all that was missing was the grim reaper!

I'm very negligent when it comes to legalities and procedures but even I'm surprised in this case that there isn't some sort of legal contigency plan to protect your investment against situations such as this arising.
It's certainly a warning to potential purchasers of similar properties to be aware of.
I can well understand how frustrated you and other residents are over the whole traumatic experience,
I wish you well in your ongoing negotiations. :(

Indeed Pato, there may well be some sort of legal contingency plan on paper, but enforcing it in the current climate may not be quite so easy.

I recently visited a friend there. It was like the Marie Celeste going in and out. The lifts did not work and stairways and corridors are dark and uninviting. Her apartment was still nice and with the most wonderful sea views. Apparently, the block is in administration. There is now some work going on in the gardens and repairs to some areas of the building. The pool has been out of action for a long time. Some of the individual owners seem to be trying to keep their areas nice, but others seem to have given up.

had a walk round this morning; basically it's still a shambles, the paintwork looks terrible, BUT, there were small signs of life; a couple of scaffold frames up with repair work going on the seaside of the reception area, a few folks sitting on their balconies, a couple been painted

It's been like that for 2 or 3 years now.
Some caring owners paint the outsides of their apartments in not quite matching colours.
Others have black mould growing on them.
There was some stripping and paint work done last year, around the roof, but that seems to have stopped.

I get the impression that some African immigrants have been homed there.

The overall effect is run down and shabby.

I feel sorry for the caring owners.

This place is potentially one of the best developments in the area. Certainly has stunning views of Centiannes Bay, and to the west, over the coast.

I just hope some white knight comes in and saves the place, before it is closed down by the Camra.

I'm delighted to report that somebody seems to have had the paint pot out at Colina Sol, it's had a makeover & now cuts a nice sight as you round the corner towards Vale Centiannes, don't know what's going on inside but the outside is a vast improvement! :D

Hi all
We looked at a property here last week and are interested in buying
Does anyone have any info on the refurb works that seem to be happening? How much will be refurbished? Will the pool and restaurant be included?
Any info would be very appreciated :)
