Seems a little strange that an opinion that differs to yours is seen as small minded.

As for you "not caring for me"...... wow that really bothers me!!

I wish you well in all that you do , but would point out that if you don't want to hear other peoples opinions (especially ones that differ from yours).............Don't post in discussion forums!

I HAVE HIRED 5WEEKS 3 DAYS FROM YOR THIS YEAR GOOD COMPANY I WOULD RECOMEND THEM STEVE

we have hired cars through Yor for 8 times now. In the beginning everything was all right. But the last 3 times everything did not go as easy as before. To cut a long story short: hire the car from the airport and you have no problems! Don't let the car take and pick up from another place, because that gives problrmsQ

This is a bit of a worry as we are hiring from yor soon. Does Steen or whoever from the CVO website have any sensible comments please?

Don't worry Don there are more positive responses than negative, if you read back there are other threads praising YOR too. In the case of Fred he doesn't seem to have been back since and like a lot of people who don't register, or sign in as guest, he hasn't left an email address so the chances of his complaint being taken seriously by Steen are probably remote.

Fred is just one of the negative people that seem to be dragging Carvoeiro.com down at the moment.

You could always PM Steen and ask for his comments.

Have usually used Avis and have been satisfied but thisyear (twice in july) the prices were high for the quality of car supplied, in particular the little Haiundai?? 1100cc with negligible a/con (booked as groupC). Do you have a web site for booking with YOR?

Is the confusion because there seems to be two YOR car hires.
YOR - Algarve Drivers and YOR (Youngs original Car Hire)
We have used YOR - Youngs for several years, sometimes as many as four times per year with no problems whatsoever

I understand that Steen's Algarvedriver is a referral service which links to YOR. I've checked out prices on both web sites and they are very similar. Although we are happy with YOR, we are giving Economy Car Hire a try next time, to check out the competition.

We had dreadful problems with Avis when our hire car was stolen in Italy. They removed £5000 from our credit card and we had an awful time trying to get it back again. All hinged on Italian terms being different to Uk ones and we should have ticked a box on a form in Italian thrust in front of us at the airport on arrival.
(Hint, don't get your hire car nicked!)
Would not go near Avis again.

Have used YOR car hire (Algarvedriver) a number of occasions over the last 2 years with no problems. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. Last car I hired in August was a bit dirtier than usual but it was also older too, so I think you accept that really, especially considering that they are very competitive. Bit worrying though Fred, with the mirror, as this could be a safety issue. Dave.
