went to vila medici on several occasions now and had always good food and good service. salads, carpaccio,mushrooms, calzone( my favourite)and pastas.
don`t think will try fish or steaks (plenty of other restaurants for that )
Maybe give it another go Ktee ?

It was actually a pasta dish I had, one of my favourites - but it was disappointing.

I also thought it was expensive (especially the wine) and not over-generous portions - but each to their own!

Haven't been there for a while - probably a couple of years - as we have had one good and a couple of not-so-good experiences there.

Just got back from Carvoeiro for the first time and went to Villa Medici - was thoroughly dissappointed! Service was excellent and we were given complimentary champagne while we waited for a table, but the food was not impressive and the portions were tiny. So tiny in fact that we went down the chippy after as we were still hungry! Over priced and overrated, I thought!
