Week 8
Made it! I aimed for an eight pounds loss for my holidays and I've just achieved it.

Hurrah for me

All I have to do now is to be careful and to watch out on my alcohol and calorie content whilst in Hisaronu . . . . Yeah, like that'll happen! I'm on holiday, of course I'm going to overdo it - that's what holidays are all about. Mind you, I do promise to take regular exercise. I already have a few routines worked out:
  • Vigorously rub suntan lotion over the bodies of any topless woman that asks - I wish!
Raise my glasses of Efes to and from my lips several times a day.
Walk briskly from bar to bar.
Have a shower several times a day and run around the apartment naked whilst I drip-dry.
Carry the suitcases (which I normally leave to Sharen).
Finally, use as weights my stash of Turkish Lira (2.4 million to £1) in a daily workout as I calculate the fluctuating price of cocktails.
Last week, on the Carvoeiro forum I was asked why no mention of the aerobics. Well, I didn't bother because I was in step and in tune. But, I'll mention it this week because I had a special treat - albeit unintentional. During the routine, Jo decided to turn us all around and let the front become the back. For the first time I was able to look at their bottoms - which was nice. :P
Also, three new-comers were there (at the back) and I was able to see how I performed eight weeks ago. Blimey! Mind you, I still can't control my arms. They move about like Joe Cocker having a fit!

Well, that's me for two weeks. So I'll leave you with this actual video footage of me on my workout.

Cheers.

Because my fan(s) became impatient and asked what had happened to my latest report.

Steen, I think this strenghtens my case for a Diet Diary Topic :P

I have sent Steen several piccies of me and as yet he is still prevaricating over a dedicated topic for my ever popular diet diary!

How much longer can he hold back the tide of humanity clamouring for such a singular topic?

Week 9
Hey! This dieting lark almost landed me in a Turkish jail for indecent exposure! And, with a bottom as pert as mine, that is not a good place to be.

I'll explain. I'd been there a day or two and was lounging around the pool, topping up my tan which had had a head start thanks to some great advice from Cowboy - one week before my hols I rubbed copious amounts of Marmite into my skin and I ended up a nice brown colour!

Anyway, there I was lying by the pool when this georgeous Liz Hurley type babe walked across the hot marble flooring, daintily skipping to avoid third-degree burns to the soles of her feet. Wow! I shot straight up - into a sitting position, shame on you lot! - and got to my feet. I then did what all men in swimming shorts do around the pool to impress the ladies; I pulled in my stomach!

Mistake!

With my weight loss I didn't need to pull it in, subsequently my shorts fell to my ankles and I was exposed in all my glory!

Now, thanks to my tan, my bits and pieces were very white. So white in fact that the incandescent glow emmitting from my lower portions dazzled anyone who happened to be looking my way! Taking advantage of this lighthouse effect I deftly bent down and pulled my shorts up (I knew those aerobics would prove useful one day). Nobody had seen a thing - especially mine!

That Rosemary Clooney's sneaky. Somehow during my holiday she sneaked into my room and slapped 2½ lbs of fat onto my body! No wonder she's got millions if that's how she behaves. The worst thing is, I don't think it was my fat and I dread to think where it came from. Mind you, I had the last laugh because I ate at least 8 lbs of chips, not to mention many arm-longs of pide and gallons of Efes Dark!

I didn't do aerobics this week due to a slight sinus problem in my right nostril - a direct result of a boat trip to Butterfly Valley. It happened like this . . .

I jumped off the side of the boat into the sea holding my nose. Unfortunately my legs were a little too far apart . . . something the males reading this will identify with!

I'll not do that again, I promised myself as I swam slowly around whilst trying to maintain some semblance of dignity.

So, the next time I plunged in I put both hands around you know where.

Mistake!

Water shot up my nose and out through my ears. Well, it shot out of my left ear, but the right nostril was blocked by a pea I'd previous lodged up there as a child and the water pushed it into my sinus where it has remained ever since. Now, each time I lean forward my nose drips . . . which has had quite an effect on my love life, I can tell you - as can Sharen! :P
