Many people go to carvoeiro because they like the mix of different Bars & Restaurants Like Portugese,Dutch,Irish and such. We have only been coming in the last few years and think that it is just lively enough for a family of children who are getting older and so need a more varied choice. Also why we dont go to Albufeira. NOW THATS COMMERCIAL, I can remember when what is now the strip was just a small road to the beach and the bullring was in the middle of fields and my sisters and I who were in our early 20's thought it should be more exciting. Trouble is by the time it got exciting we were older and had young children and needed more peace and quiet.

Ratings of the Algarve
I have been coming to the Algarve
for 18 years now and have seen many changes. When we first came we stayed at Prai Da Rocha, and bought a Timeshare - Tres Costelloes. A bit aged now, but at the time Alvor was slated. We then went to CVO and bought another timeshare at Palm Gardens. Have seen many changes to CVO, but I guess we are family (old) people and are tucked in bed by 11.00 ish, or at our apartment, so don't get to see what the youngsters are upto, but having read the newsletter, are very surprised at what is going on after we have walked our way back up the street to bed. I still rate CVO as a very good family place, and give it top marks. We have stayed at Lagos, Albufeira recently and I think it is down to what you want out of a Holiday. For us all is well.
