I agree with the last comments from Raithstar and PAPADON. Being from Scotland we found the CVO weather whilst there, positively tropical :D
We were over for 11 days end of January and, apart from a couple of days, spent most of the time wearing t-shirt and light trousers. Did find evenings chilly but a jumper was perfect answer. Back March for couple of weeks and hopefully for some time in April.
Really enjoy on new visit, strolling round town spotting the new editions. For example, always wondered what would go into the building space at the foot of the road down behind the Sol Hotel, just at the junction with Restaurant Hill, and it's a pottery shop!
Raithstar, fair chance we've been in when you've been at Hemies! Only when I got talking to Dave did I find out we had worked in same towns on a couple of occasions back in the 1980s.
So to answer the Topic Question, I enjoy every month of the year at CVO. Each has it's own positives (and negatives) depending on what I'm looking for but overall I enjoy every month! Even the rainy days as it's warm rain compared with the rain and lazy wind (goes through you, not round you  ) back here in Scotland!!

Love it in May as that's our first visit of the year and usually the first time we've enjoyed sunshine - we're from a small village in Yorkshire which is beautiful but not always the warmest as I write we still have a good few inches of snow despite the rest of the UK thawing out , well maybe not Scotland. We love reading Magarede's monthly blog especially hearing of all the new developments and then seeing them for ourselves. We then usually visit again in September which has a few have said is still nice and sunny (usually) and also just busy enough although last Sept definitely felt busier than the previous couple of years which is hopefully a sign things are improving. Anyway as always we can't wait to get back !

September is a lovely time for me. Mike and I had our honeymoon there in September.

The beaches are less busy and there is that last bit of summer to enjoy..here's to this September!

I know the question referred to CVO but my iconic time on the Algarve is November. I usually visit that month (although I didn't last year) and my enduring image is of sitting on the terrace at Café Praia Grande at Ferragudo wearing shorts and T shirt. I am drinking a large beer, have just enjoyed their cover and am starting on my mixed omelette, chips and salad, looking out over the beach and a blue sea, thinking what a marvellous summer's day this is. Then I realise it is mid November and the folks at home are bemoaning what a cold, damp day it is. It gets me every time, and when I am too old to travel, that is what will remain foremost within my memory. Mind you, sitting in my garden at Rocha Brava looking out over the cliffs to the sea comes pretty close.

This month I would like your opinions on:
"What is your favourite time of year in Carvoeiro and why?"
For me my favourite month has to be September - I have shoved my kids back to school and can finally head down to the beach without the crowds and to enjoy a dip in the slightly warmer waters before sitting back and sipping on something cool and bubbly! :D
Would love to hear from you all!
we both love November there is room to move its hot but not to hot and everyone we know are not working to hard and have a lot more time to have fun

Aye probably been in Hemingways at the same time , my dad's just home he was there for the whole of January you probably seen him in there or one of the other bars ( really tall chap ) . He got home last Tuesday and by Thursday he was on the phone asking me to find him an apartment and a flight as he says he wants to go back out ( too cold here ) . Trying to find him a cheapish apartment . We are back out 27th April for a week cani wait .

During past 7 years we have visited at least once during each of the twelve months. For me June is hard to beat.
Weather is great, bars and restaurants all open yet still feels small and friendly.
Pre dinner drink at the cocktail garden, nice meal in town and then music in the square, (especially when Ricardo Soussa is playing). Life does not get much better than CVO in June. Although all other times are great as well.
Outside of Scotland CVO is my favourite place on the planet.
