Carvoeiro - Motorhome Friendly

I have seen motorhomes parked on the cliffs at Benagil. They are not there legally, of course.

Won't be doing that.

There is a motorhome site in Silves, a camping park in Ferragudo and a motorhome site in the marina next door to the Tivioli hotel in Portimão.

If you want to park up just for the day, either Algo Seco area or the Monte Carvoeiro area, both of which have ample parking spaces.

Not quite a Porsche Stevie! I've always stayed at the Monte Carvoeiro side and honestly cannot recall seeing any motorhomes around there, nor any sites from there outwards towards Lagoa and the Golf Courses. Depending on size, there is some space by Algor Seco as suggested by Ma-Jas. Otherwise, anywhere else maybe too far out to walk into the town.

ps - nice to hear from you again - will be in jolly Scotland for 4 days over New Year but not as far north as yourself.

Hi HR, good to hear from you too. Can't get the new dog in a Porsche . Wife won't put him in kennels so we decided to purchase our own portable accommodation. Enjoy Scotland, at least you won't need a passport.

There used to be one between Alcantarilha and Armacao de Pera, but that was a long time ago so don't know if it is still there.
If you go past the Municipal market in CVO and head towards A Palmeira that road has plenty of free on road parking.
