Purchasing china crockery

We bought almost all of our day to day crockery at continente, excellent value, sturdy and easily replaced.
I think we paid less than 15 euros for a 6 place set when they had one of their special sales on.

We couldn't get the plain white that we wanted at Continente but there were some great deals on boxed sets.

We purchased our crockery from Casa and found after we bought it stamped on the back it said heavy duty. This appears to be true as the cat knocked a plate onto the tiled floor and it bounced - not a chip to be seen.

If you go to Casa they have many special offers and you can find that they have 20% off certain ranges - they change their offers on a monthly basis. they also have a good range of kitchen tools/implements some of which are far superior to those that you can buy in the UK.

That is helpful as we will have to purchase bits and pieces, like grater, salad spinner, Pyrex type dishes, plastic boxes etc.
I still need to decide where to get my curtains poles / Steele variety. We looked in Leroy Merlin and found something but thought 2.4m was wide enough. I need nearer 3m per door. I cannot see if they go thAt wide, so we may need to buy here. I did see an online one which is very reasonable. The one we like at LRM was 71€ for 2.4m.
There is so many things to buy for a new home.
