Hi Steve,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for your feed back and thank you for taking the time to let me know how the villa was.
I'm glad you all had a great holiday!! ~Sounds great. really sounds like a fantastic villa... hoping the few issues with plumbing gets sorted before we arrive
Restaurant sounds ideal!! and The taxi fares! We plan to spend alot of time at the villa. Does the pool have a net?? to clear out? I guess these things are expected... how was it with mosquittos?
Your feedback has answered alot of questions for us, and put my mind at ease somewhat from the above negativity
thank you again, really appreciate it.

Apoliogies for a late response to your post, but had a few family issues to sort recently and quite forgot to check back.
Yes there is a net by the pool and as I said it's just a bit tedious soemtimes, particuarly when you've a wife who'll run a mile at the sight of any bug be it flying or indeed floating!
As far as mossies are concerned I can honestly say we didn't have a problem at the villa, although we did obviously use plugins in the bedrooms and bought a couple of the big citronella candles for use outside in the evening. We did however get bitten a few times when we went out into the village so I'd suggest you take a repellant with you for the evenings.
Hope all the little niggles have now been resolved and that you have a great holiday

“The best seafood in the Algarve - unmissable!”
Date of review: 23 Oct 2010
This restaurant is a real hidden gem and we can't recommend it highly enough. The location is charming, the staff knowledgeable and welcoming and the fish and seafood absolutely stunning. Don't miss the Stone Bass and the cataplanas, what a revelation! It was so good on Wednesday we are taking friends back there today
The best fun you will have in a restaurant! [
This was the first seafood restaurant that I went to in portugal many years ago. I have revisited on every possible occasion. It has its own style and ambience that I have not seen in any other establishment. It can cost a small fortune if you go the whole hog, but can be value for money if you choose carefully. Me, I just go the whole hog and enjoy every valuable moment. Make sure you also go for the Vino Verdi - it is excellent and goes so well with the sea food. Oh - make sure you book - you do NOT want to be part of the "list of hope" pinned to the door. It is so much more fun being part of the action rather than queuing outside. I recommend the seafood platter - expensive, but you get a taste of everything. But every single dish I have had there has been superb. I gave it full marks for ambience - it is just so different to everything else I have visited - trestle tables, everyone squashed in together, bits of shell fish flying around the room - just the best fun you can have!
It really is the best!!!!

Went there for lunch today. It was good but not the best !!!!
