Anybody else noticed the Tourist Centre has been demolished

Is the Tourist Centre being rebuilt or relocated somewhere else.

Sorry Ellie missed out one of your questions. Don't see any reason why the road down from QdP should be affected, since cars can turn up by the Post Office and the road past Jailhouse is already one way in the correct direction. There is a risk that more traffic might use this road to get to MC, but let's hope not. It's the route we walk to get to the village, and is very narrow on the final stretch, so not much room for people and cars!

Hi all, can anyone confirm that you can still drive into Carvoeiro, turn right at the post office and drive up past Jailhouse to Quinta do Paraiso? I have guests arriving at our villa on Saturday and want to ensure I don't send them the wrong way. Many thanks, Duke

No, I'm afraid thats all a very big mess today, and impassable.

Suggest you send your friends the back way via the Sesmerais road, and past the new Monte Santo resort.

Alternatively, turn right up the windy road to Solfeiras.
