Hi Maddi, I can only use the comparison of the male spider,when he begins the mating game. He is smaller and must approach his intended mate with caution, touching and stroking the strands of the web so that she feels the vibrations and hopefully becomes amorous and willing, he is not sure if he will survive his conquest, but he gives it his best. I am sure that the joy and willingness you mention will come within a short time with seconds and thirds if wanted.
