I whole heartedly agree with you Kteee and can understand your feelings completely.
I used to love walking there on the few holidays I had at Vila Nova and one wonders whether there will be any 'green' spaces left, if the developers have their way ?:(

Well I've only lived here for four years and I am in completely the wrong area! The new resort I was referring to is the Vale da Lapa Parque (I *think*!)
We too were thinking of moving out of the ever growing and ever more crowded area into the country a bit more but we have to consider schools and work.

Good morning
Has anyone any further info on the completion of this resort? We are thinking of goint there is two weeks for a week. Are pools complete and functional?

There is still a lot of work going on, landscaping etc - I think if you were to go now you have to accept that it may not be completely finished, and there could still be dust, noise etc

I can't see the pools, so don't know if they are usable, but if they are, there is a lot of dust flying around!

Personally, I would wait and book for next year, but I like to know that the place is finished, and everything works properly before I go anywhere
