Cost of School Holiday Flights
It is simply supply and demand.
There is a fixed number of aircraft and slots available to the airlines and they have a short window of opportunity to use them to the maximum on sunshine routes. It has been said before everybody wants to or has to go in a 6 week period. Midweek in the middle of winter seats are sold at silly prices to fill the aircraft.
How about the goverment needs to look changing the way the school holidays are set, with different regions having different dates?

Changing the school holidays to a rgional basis would have litle affect, The French, Dutch Belgians and Nordic countries do this do this.
To see if it works just look at the price of Ski holidays in feb early march,
The winter peak season.
As many have said before its simple supply and demand, basic rules of economics and that will never change.
