How refreshing it is to see that in Portugal parents can still photograph their children. In the UK, in most schools nowadays, parents are barred from doing this in the name of 'safety' and 'civil rights'.

Good Newsletter, Carol. Keep up the good work . . . and I especially like the liberal use of pictures.

Carol, in your Newsletter you say, "... Hopefully it will be completed before the season starts as the man with the STOP and GO sign sometimes disappears leaving you to take life in your own hands when manoeuvring around the machinery."

Around the corner from where we stayed, at a X-roads where some work was being carried out, the Stop & Go man was clearly evident - as were his directing skills. As I waited at the junction he calmly signalled for two cars to proceed . . . . on a collision course! It was only due the two drivers' quick reactions that a collision was avoided. It seems that with or without a Stop & Go man, navigating road works is a dangerous pasttime!

That's my granddaughter, front row 4th from the right. Does anyone have the original of this photo?
