WALKS IN LATE APRIL/EARLY MAY

Post by williew »

We return to Carvoeiro on Monday 18th April. As Geof does not return till the 26th April we will organise a walk on the 25th April and I will post a note of where this is a few weeks before.

Geof is planning a brand new walk on Sat 30th and I have agreed with him that we will also do a brand new walk to CVO Ramblers from Porches, out to Albandeira Beach and back again. This is planned for the 2nd May and is a really stunning walk, probably a 2 on our scale.

Happy walking and I am sure Bruce and others will keep the walks going till the 25th.

My thanks to Willie and all for keeping the CVO Ramblers thriving.

We have a slight change of plans, as we will be attending a pan-Iberian Hash 29 April-1May, so can't now lead on Sat 30 April. In fact , as we might go hashing on a monday, we can't commit to leading/attending any monday walk until we know where the hash is : we are only over for a short while & don't want to keep travelling to hashs out in the east!

Hence, will probably lead walks on a thursday and a saturday, viz :

Thursday 5 May
Saturday 7 May
Monday 9 May ( possibly)
Tuesday 10 April ( possibly)

If people could respond to state whether they want to walk on these other days, I will draw up a programme.......but they will invariably be grade 2 or 3 ( grade 3 or 4 for Bruce!).

Poor Geoff....still deluding himself that people dont realise that he always ,( for some inexplicable reason) always down plays the hill element of his walks. :P
