Walk Mon 27th May, 10:00hrs: Silves

Directions: Meet at 10:00 a.m in Silves by the cemetery (there is a parking area right next to cemetery). Coming into Silves on the N124-1 from the West or the N269 from the East turn onto the main bridge then turn right at the T-junction. Carry straight on until the 1st roundabout and then take the 2nd exit off the roundabout. The cemetery and the parking area are on the right hand side after about 100 yards.

We will follow a circular route which should take approximately 2hrs (medium difficulty with just a couple of steepish slopes). We will have a good view of the castle & will walk up to the windmill which will give us 360 degree views of the surrounding area.

Wear walking boots or stout trainers - the forecast looks pretty good so please bring water, sunscreen & perhaps a hat.

One of our favourites...did you get a good turnout?

Richard, Trish, Mansel, Su and myself had a very pleasant stroll up to the restored windmill followed by refreshments at Café da Sé. No pics this time.
