Walk Monday, March 18th from Gale Beach
Walk Monday, March 18th from Gale Beach
Perhaps we can finally get a group together for this walk - so far the weather looks promising for Monday!
Meet at 10:00 a.m.
Take the 125 towards Guia and when you get to the chicken roundabout (white statues of chickens) turn right and drive past two sets of traffic lights and then turn right following signs for Apolonia and Gale Beach. Keep going straight down past the turn off for Apolonia and at the next roundabout follow the sign to Gale Beach, drive to the end and park by the cafes/restaurants.
This is a flat walk which will take about 1 hr. 40 mins. We will walk west along the beach, then go up over the sand dunes and join the boardwalk along by the bird sanctuary, and work our way back across to Gale Beach where we have a choice of cafes.
All walks at your own risk, and usual caveats about weather.
Any questions, call Brian 282 351 674 or 965 528 842

Hi Penny and Brian,
We shall be there (4 of us) do or die, complete with brollies. We just have to nail this Galé/Salgados walk, rain or no (and we know of a very good Prato do dia near by for afterwards.) Su and Mike xx

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow - the more brollies the better, then it is guaranteed not to rain
