Hi all
Sue and I have now trialled this walk without getting lost, so look forward to a 2 hour level(ish) walk in some lovely countryside, ending at a nice cafe that does a mean tosta mixta!

Driving from CVO to Silves, do NOT go over the bridge but continue up the hill with the Hotel Colina dos Mouros on your left.
After 3.7km, fork left where the road divides, in direction of Algoz.
After a further 2km ( 5.7km from the Silves bridge) you will be in Poco Barreta. Park by station on right at end of village, opposite Cafe Snack-bar Sustelo.
Do NOT go over level crossing.

Meet at 10.00. Stout trainers or walking boots 'required. Hopefully, sun hats and water as well!

Any queries, please ring 282 380015 between 0800 -0915 or 1915-2000

IF it's very wet, we won't be going.

Look forward to meeting your scottish friends, Bruce.

Monday morning , very early, strted with spectacular thunder and lightening and torrential rain, and this no doubt put people off!
By 0900 it had cleared and we had lovely blue skies . Sue & I went to Poco Barreta, but no one was there, so we had a glorious walk in the sunshine on our own!
Hope to meet you all next week.

Hi Geoff. I went to bed the night before with good intentions of walking, but the thunder, lightening and rain that morning persuaded me to go back to bed, and by the time it all cleared I was too late to go. Not having regular access to the internet I didn't realise that you were walking the following week instead or I would have been very pleased to join you. Anyway, thank you for the walk on the 7th which I enjoyed very much and meeting you, Sue and the other walkers. Hope to join you again in the future.

Hi Denis
Everyone else turned over and went back to bed/sleep after the storm,as well, so you weren't alone!
Never mind, hope to catch up with you again some time.
