Mr Grillo

Post by e-llen »

We had a really lovely meal last night in Mr Grillo at Porches. We have been there before and always enjoyed our meal....last night just wondered why we had left it so long since last visit. While some of our party enjoyed their steaks - there is a particularly good choice of fish and vegetarian dishes

Mr Grillo

We were recommended to go here to eat - we did find it during the day and went back a couple of evenings later. However, when we got there we were the only people. I know it was fairly early (about 8:30) but I was quite shocked. Neither of us like to eat alone in a restaurant so we ducked out before we were seen and headed back to Carvoeiro to eat.

I was really upset though as everything I heard was good - we will try it next time but would appreciate if anyone can tell us a particular night or time to go when it might be a bit busier.

It is unusual for Mr Grillo to be empty, but when we were last there they did say it had been quieter than usual - they thought it was because of the football.

There are two parts to the restaurant, the part that the door opens into, and another part round the corner which opens onto a terrace - could the other customers have been in that part?

Have never known Mr Grillo to be empty, last time we were there it was such a lovely evening that everyone was eating out on the terrace.

From Carvoeiro along EN 125 to Porches, turn right into Porches on road where there are apartments, straight up that road and you can park at top. There is a cafe on right and you will see Mr Grillo sign-posted from there.
