Vale d'Oliveiras - Olive Tree

Post by natking »

My wife and I had a fantastic meal last night at the restaurant at the Vale d'Oliveiras resort. Scallop carpaccio followed by prawn risotto with coconut sauce and finished off with a trio of creme brulee. Very reasonably priced wine list too and a great selection of cocktails. The quality of food was as good as anyhting I have had in the Algarve or back home. Well worth a visit. For those who don't know it's situated just off the road between Gramacho golf course and the water tower at Sesmarias.

What sort of prices are we talking about, for instance main course? or is it a set
meal, sounds good.

We have also heard good things about this place, it does look as if the restaurant scene is improving in the area. We have been shown around the impressive new state of the art Kitchen in BOA NOVA where they also plan to open a 5* standard next year.
At Presa Da Moura they hope to reopen what was the island cafe in the new year as well.
The " better ? " in town venues need to look to their laurels as they will soon start to lose the customer who expects and is prepared to pay a liitle more.
