Pheonix Nites

Although a long way off yet, my wife an I were discussing where to eat out during our summer holiday in 2008. I was telling her about some of the restaurant reviews on this forum and she asked if there was anything written about Pheonix Nites. We ate there once during the last few days of our 2007 holiday and the food was excellent and portions very large. However, there was no atmosphere as there was only two tables occupied, one inside which we had an another oustide. We passed the place on many occasions during our two weeks in Carvoeiro and can't remember it being busy at any time. Can anyone share their experiences of Pheonix Nites?

nipped into pheonix nites on halloeen and was made most welcome by the staff there , and had a very tasty steak , chips , and salad , with a mushroom sauce , hit the spot for me and reasonally priced too , excellent

I ate there a few times recently, was never disappointed!

My hubby had a lovely T bone ( wasnt on the menu but he called in the day before and ordered it )

Staff were very freindly and helpful!

just returned from a late easter sunday lunch here , and could not fault it , 4 roast sunday dinners , 2 bottles of house white wine , 44 euros , bargain of the year so far , great british food , well cooked, everything home made and fresh , best by far for sunday lunch , once again excellent , best to book .

Is it still a smoking bar?
It was really smoky last time we popped in and I couldn't of eaten inside.
(it was too cold to sit outside)

It's at Monte Carvoeiro on the left, near the car park for the main restaurant plaza.

I went in there to have lunch a few weeks ago. It was like the Marie Celeste! Doors open, lights on, tv on, music playing but not a soul in sight. Hung around for 10 minutes and then thought 'stuff this for a game of soldiers' and left.

We ate there a couple of months ago (not Sunday lunch) and weren't very impressed - haven't been back

Yes you can smoke in restaurant but only at designated areas
I had meal during the country and western night with JJ and like so many of my friends our only complaint was that there was so much food. The food was excellant and lots of it.
Plus the entertainment was brilliant , good night had by all.
