New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve
Does anyone know which restaurants are open on New Year's Eve. Maximes said they may open this year, but have decided not to, so I am looking for somewhere nice for my new year's eve supper!

We usually eat at the Steak House, but will be 16 of us this year, and lots of the Resaurants do not know till nearer the time if they are going to open, we try and book when we over in the October, last year we phoned and booked in the December.
Find it really strange that the ones in square are all shut...

Not sure who is open this year but last year we celebrated new year at Columbo's. We have a lovely evening which, I must say, went on to the early hours of new years day. I also know that Bojangles was also open, we had Christmas dinner there, again that went on to the early hours.
Wherever everyone finally decides to spend their festive period, the important thing to remember is, enjoy yourselves.

MaisieK, ANOTHER relation to Biffa!!!
I think it all depends on the company at the table as to what a breakfast/lunch or dinner turns out to be. I've been to New Years dinners that were planned down to the last detail and they were as much fun as a wet day in Carvoeiro
The best New Years Eve I've had started in Restaurant João in Seismarias ( we had been told that reservations had been made at another place, only to find out it was closed!!), we just turned up had dinner and went on from there, best night ever!!!
Another was spent at the GNR in Carvoeiro (no, not locked up!!) we were walking past and they called us in for champagne and cake, great!!
Another good one was when they (GNR again!) came round our house at about 04:00 in the morning for a drink and something to eat. They were on duty so had coca cola! They, 3, came in with their machine, laid them on the livingroom rug ate and drank then were off!!!!
In fact I seem to have something about GNR and New Years Eve, last year they gave me a lift home and I was almost sick in their car

There you go maisieK - don't worry about booking up anywhere- just pile round B1d's place and have a rip roaring night with the Bofia and the Biffas! Big Uncle T would love it!!
Just don't forget your machine gun and a sick bag!
(Hey if we can get the other Biffa-related maisie to sign up and then it'll become well confusing!!! (or would she be biffa's fourth grand-darling??)
