The Best Steak

Post by Karen Ann »

I don't know what everybody else thinks. We were over there at Christmas and new year. We ate at a number of restasurants we hadn't been in before as well as some old favourites.

We think that anyone looking for the best steak in CVO should look no further than Columbos. We have had Fileet steak and Rump steak there, always tender and cooked to perfection.

I've never been to Columbos but i've heard some good reviews of it from previous visits to CVO. I would recommend Casa Do Bife(dont know if that is the correct spelling), as we've had a number of very good meals there on our previous visits.

We ate at Casa de Bife at Christmas, however, we still felt that it wasn't as good as Columbo's. In fact we have had steak in most of the restaurants in CVO and we stand by our first statement.

Came back from a week's holiday on 21/2.

The steak Portugeuse style in A Gale was excellent.

So good , went back there on the las t night for it again.

I would also recommend as a starter the prawns piri piri in A galeria.

I've had this dish in a few places, including A Gale, but in A Galeria it was sensational.

Anyway, any of you lucky enough ti be visitng shortly , ENJOY.

Don't know whether A Galeria has changed hands. We ate there a few years back. It was the worst "restaurant" we had ever been in. The soup was tasteless, the main course was very plain and we just couldn't believe it when they brought two oranges on a plate for desert. The service was awful. We asked for a table for two, however when another couple who we had never seen in our life entered and also asked for a table for two, the waitress sat them on our table without a bat of her eyes.

No, I'm sorry, we will definately never go back there!!

I do agree with the other statement about A Gale Portuguese Steak though, we had that dish there it was delicious, however, not the best I've had. That has to be in Albufeira Old Town, O'Manja.
