It's still empty, Joel having apparently gone to Brazil.....Escondidinho or Palmaira or A Paleta recommended

Is Escondidinho the restaurant near Bubbles bar, if so hope it has new owners from
last and only visit 2 years ago, when we had the worst meal ever in Carvoeiro.

Our daughters use Palmeria when they stay on Monte Dourado every October, very handy.

We've not been able to get to CVO this year but has anyone heard or seen anything from Jao. He was a great host at Escondidinho and Ponto de Encontro was good so it would be a shame if he hadn't set up anywhere else.

I went last week to check, having been tod that it had reopened about 3 weeks ago. It is definitely open and a quick look at the menu indicated that it is aiming at a similar market to the previous establishment. I have not yet eaten there.

Thanks Steve, yep it's definitely open. We went there Friday night to try it out - too close to home for any excuse not to. We sat outside and were told that a lady from Albufeira had taken it over. We went for the €10 special for 3 courses: a choice of about 5 starters, three mains (that night was salmon, sea bass and chicken breast - we both went for the sea bass) and a good selection of desserts. The food was good as was the service, wine list small but all the favourites are there. For two 3-course meals, a pint, a bottle of BSE and coffee, €31.50. We'll definitely be back. It seems they also do a lunch menu for €8.50 if I'm not mistaken.

Just wondering how the new owners are doing, and if anyone else visited and what they thought.
Always felt something missing on visits to ADM when closed!

We looked at it at lunch time today....it was empty but the sign said they have a lunch menu for 7.5€.....in the evening its a la carte only, but looked as if you could get a meal incl wine for 15€/person....but the place rather smelt of fatty chips, so haven't tried it yet!

Has anyone tried here lately, been past a couple of times on way into town, but not
always open and not very busy!!

Was thinking of calling in this evening rather than the hot walk into town ( could do with early night also)
any reviews please, or do I need to get the car out?

It was definitely open last week and he had a board offering special 2 course meal with a beer/glass of wine for 7.50euro, it seemed to be busier at lunch time than in the evening. I would get the car out. :D

Decided to give it a try three other tables occupied, wife and daughter had spaghetti not much sauce but tasted ok.
Pepper steak for me a little fatty. Couple next to us had chicken curry looked nice, may give that a try if we visit again.
