The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Just had great 7.50 € set lunch, Beef (Jardinaire) stew and Bola Bolacha ( Biscuit cake) and glass of wine, very nice. Just to make you more jealous, ( to those in the UK ) got a sun tan at the same time
.
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Do they do a cheap evening menu , or is it a more expensive a la carte?
We stay in Sesmarias, and it sounds as if this could make a change to A Paleta in Lagoa.

Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
It is a la carte in the evenings but main courses average about 9€, with chicken and chips at 6€, a steak is 12.80€
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
We were a party of seven last night and the general opinion was that for both value and content the Krazy Chicken scores well.
There was a very good atmosphere, good service ( it was almost full ), the 8euros ltr house wine went down too well.
The garlic prawn and smoked salmon with rosti starters stood out as did the Cod Algarvia style.
The only negative if it could be called that is that the daily specials are not on the evening menu .
We wil certainly be back on a regular basis.

Had breakfast there this morning and whilst they forgot the bacon
it was excellent and good value. 6.95 incl good coffee and even better freshly squeezed orange juice. Had a beer there earlier in the week - small 20cl 1.25, medium 30cl 1.50 large 40cl 2.50 Might be a price point error there

First time there tonight - 4 of us - €85 - food good (although one steak was overdone and slightly cold) otherwise very good.
Decor is excellent and service too.
8 out of 10 and will definitely go back

Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
On the road from Lagoa to Boavista just before you reach the Monte Santo resort
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
We live in sesmarias, where is this place? Was it called something else before?
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
Hi Suziebear
We have a place in Sesmarias too. We have yet to try out this place but the directions from Sesmarias would be as follows.
Driving through Sesmarias from Ferraguedo, turn right at the watertower and drive on for about a mile until you come to the Monte Santo development on the right : turn left by the statue in the middle of the road ( going towards Lagoa) and this place must be about 100 yards on the right.
We are coming out in mid April and hope to try it...less me know what you think of it!

Please park carefully and do not block the junction or interfere with access for residents.
Trafiic on that road can travel at speed and w if cars are parked badly outside of the Krazy Chicken we have to edge out just to see if the road is clear.
You co operation will be much appreciated.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago....I wasn't overly impressed. There is nothing in particular I could point out....I'll give it another go sometime in the future.....
Re: The new 'Crazy Chicken' Restaurant
can I suggest a few things that impressed me; the interior decor is very nice; the tables and furniture are nice and well spread out; nice crockery and glasses; the toilets are as good as it gets in restaurants in our area. We had a nice selection of bread in the couvert; I've only had the chicken but friends had the beef and pork which they both enjoyed; we've taken chicken away twice & enjoyed it.bife73 wrote:We ate there a couple of weeks ago....I wasn't overly impressed. a very welcome addition to the local restaurant scene in my book
