went to O'Branco near the tennis club yesterday, had a lovely plate of home cooking, sort of a meat rice; chicken, pork, sausage, carrots, cabbage all in rice, lovely dish; bread, paste & olives, small beer, caraffe of wine, coffee, less than €10 per head

It was our absolute favourite when we have visited carvoeiro.
In Our Opinion Only (before I upset anyone) much better food than anywhere in CVO town when it was
Original and then the Rodizio.

What sort of food does it do now?

I THINK Originals is on the road past the tennis club, keep heading toward the sea and it's on the right just before you get where they've been building houses near the cliff top; been past it a few times but not in, haven't seen much sign of life but that doesn't mean it's not open

disasterous lunch on Thursday; went to O'Branco, normally very good; sat down, got a beer & some bread etc then got descended upon by a 'post hunt' party; must have been 30 blokes who seemingly had been on the Maciera all morning, I don't mind a bit of noise but this was just loud, & got louder as more wine & brandy got consumed; was rounded off by ordering what was described as 'grilled pork' and got 2 rib style pieces which were 80% fat;
I'm afraid it gets a yellow card & will be off the roster for a while :(

Not yet :( , H says he can't afford it after New Years as some people were forcing the pace & it cost him a fortune 8) . I've still got my hangover glasses on.

Weather is looking all set to improve so I'm hoping very soon to be visiting Carlos.

Just come from Nuno's. Dish of the day was Seafood Rice or Pork Steak & Chips. With a bottle of wine, dessert, coffee and brandy each the bill came to 17 Euros for the two of us. Delicious.

Haha. No comment Chris! Funnily enough Anibal was there - the owners are his sister and her husband. He is bored already with his overly-long holiday and longs to get back to work! When are we likely to see you out here... should we book a table anytime soon?

Nunos : Coming into Carvoeiro after you pass Intermarche on your right you come to a set of traffic lights - go left and left again and Nunos is on that road not far along on the right hand side.

The new Funky Chicken restaurant at Boavista isn't open yet, they've got the builders in still.

We always find the Algar Seco parque a lovely lunch time venue. Fabulous club sandwich and a glass or two of rose on the patio, hard to beat that if the sun is shining.
