Christmas & New Year
Having had the last xxxnumber of years working every Christmas Day and New Year and every day in between in the Pub/Restaurant trade and the fact that this will be our very first Christmas living here - we originally thought we would like to cook, then once daughter and boyfriend said they would love to come and my parents are flying over, my lovely Mum suggested we all go for Christmas Dinner as for at least 15 years we have never sat down together as family for Dinner on Christmas Day. So we're going out - yippeeee no washing up, peeling sprouts, getting up at stupid o clock to put the turkeys in. AND can you believe I used to make all our staff Christmas muffins and Bucks Fizz before we started in the kitchen and setting up the restaurant. However, I do promise that I will not be an awkward or scrooge type customer - I fully intend to thoroughly enjoy it this year.

well desearved SuzieB, where are you eating? Gary and I and two of our boys had Xmas in CVO two years and decided to treat ourselves to Xmas dinner out. It was at Rascals at the time (sadley no longer) Fantastic dinner out on the Rascals Bar Terrace, lovely and sunny. Rachel and Sergio did everyone proud. I understand Ma Ja's do a good one too.
Hopefully next Xmas as this Xmas have decided on the UK.

What time?Michael Crane wrote:Sharen and I have had a good few Christmas dinners at the villa we rent. We are very lucky for its kitchen is fully fitted and as good as the one at home.
We buy all our food for the dinner in the village or Guia and have found all we wanted.
If you're stuck, we have plenty of room. Come and join us.
Christmas & New Year
We are having our Christmas Dinner at No Patio in Lagos, the food and service are always superb and Martin Chef/Owner is the best. We are looking forward to our first Christmas away from `the trade`. Need to sort something out for New Years Eve though, nearer home in Carvoeiro, any suggestions??
