Good place if you like eggs - disaster if you don't!

Biffa the egg is not compulsary. Just relating it's origin. Anyway you are an eastsider, so doubt you would'nt want to visit westside.

We negotiated overflying rights over Monte CVO. But the restaurant is SO good it's worth going from Centiannes to the rough council estates in the west

The villa we stayed in during May this year was located very close to O Original and we were advised by our villa manager that it wasn't really "up to much". I had a quick glance at the price list and menu and it wasn't on the cheaper side of things. However may give it a whirl in October (if it's open).

Why not try the restaurant at the Fatacil. We have always had good wholesome food at a very reasonable price.

Does anyone know this one?

Post by Stevie-C »

I have been told that there is a restaurant in the Vale De Currais area that serves a meal of the day and two other dishes prepared daily. You are also entitled to eat and drink as much as you like. You enter the restaurant and once you’ve found a seat, you can go into the kitchen and help yourself to both soft drinks and/or alcohol from the fridge. Sounds very much like Casa Do Pasto Escondidinho but where I am being told it is situated, it doesn't match. Does anyone know the name of it and where it is?

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Stevie, I think I've worked out where it is now.
I hope to give it a go in October.

Sounds like it. I have directions from my holiday villa so will look for it next summer although I think it may actually be beside the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow :D

Just found out the exact location of my holiday villa for next year. It is right next door to the villa we hand this year - what a brilliant coincedence. So the the restaurant I was told about was indeed the Casa Do Pasto Escondidinho - a 2 minute walk for us. So, looking forward to the meals next year, including the eggs :P

There's a new restaurant that has good food and not expensive. At lunch there is always a new dish around 6€ and it's a beautifull place!!!! It's Troppo. Ever been there?

No Leslie I haven't but others may have. Can't say I have seen it mentioned in the forum either although I am fairly new to it and have possibly missed a posting. Where exactly is it?
