can anyone recommend a restaurant for roasted piglet

Hi....can anyone recommend a restaurant where they serve roasted piglet...especially if it is in or near Lisbon...but anywhere in the algarve really...prepared to travel!!!

there's a place on the road to Armação de Pera on the right, can't remember the name.

Ricardo does it on Sunday at the take away next to the Frame shop on the left as you drive into Carvoeiro.

I have seen a place on the way from Faro along the 125.

But you really shopuld go to the Bairrada where they do it "properly"

I think the best leitão (piglet) is at Ferreiras just inland from Albufeira it is called Restaurant Nuno....very very good. Fantastic menu (if you don't want leitão). But the tapas plates as starters can work out expensive and a bit filling so be careful.
If you have a couple of starters, leitão, wine, dessert & of course a whisky with your coffee...you'll be looking at about 40.00 euros per person, but well worth it!!

There is a restaurant in Guia just south of the intersection on the left side called Mata Fama. Their specialty is roast piglet along with Chicken Piri Piri. There is a large parking lot beside the restaurant on the south side.

Friends who went to the NUNO , were very inpressed by the quality of the Tapas that just kept coming.
( were not informed in advance thet these were individually priced ).
V good meal but also V expensive.

However it is certainly on our list to try.
