Roma

Post by newlife »

Hi

Can anyone tell me if Roma, the Italian restaurant near Benagil has closed? What a shame if it has. I drive past from time to time and theres no activity there! ALSO, I know in the main that restaurants are child friendly, but does anyone have a favourite super child friendly restaurant??

Thanks

At the weekend we like to go to Jardim das Oliveiras between Monchique and Foia. Fantasic traditional Portuguese food & and a kiddies play park and grass area. Fantasic for a Sunday lunch...with plenty of walks in the area to burn it off afterwards....

and they say coincedence does not exist!

As it happens the owner of Jardim das Oliveiras is supposed to have taken over Roma. Don't know when it will reopen though.

Bon Bon is rather child friendly, kid's menu, playground & DVD player in kid's corner outside...

Hi

Thanks soooooo much for tip on Bon Bon. We went there tonight with all our children in toe and we had a lovely time. They made the children really welcome. They had drawing pads and pencils and a special menu writen by a child for our children to look at. Really impressed, our dinner was great. The play area outside was a hit also.

Bon Bons and Rustique

Post by SJ & RE »

Hiya,
We went 2 visit 2 see the menues week last Sunday at both places as they are side by side. Place empty as it was late afternoon.but it needed a really good weed tidy up as it looked a little neglected the area. Nice to see previous post say tidy up in progress.
The menu did little 2 inspire hubby as he is rather fussy and hates, onions, garlic, spices and fish. Does not leave much 2 eat then does it!!
He is not here so I can get away with it.
I liked the menu, but found it a little pricey. If I knew they would make a fuss of hubby & play around with the food so as 2 not add the spices, onions & garlic 2 the sauces etc perhaps I might be tempted. Need some really good raves and mentions if they would alter the food 4 him, 2 let him take me along 2 either of them.
