Tacuba
This newly opened (December 2011) Mexican themed restaurant in Ferragudo is well worth a visit.
We went there on Saturday evening to try it and enjoyed it. It is a restaurant come art gallery - with the emphasis on the restaurant. There was 4 of us and with drinks, starters and main courses it cost us €69. We had the chicken tacos - good large portions and very tasty.
They advertise live music but there wasn't any on Saturday. It has an outside terrace with views across the water to Portimao. The Maitre'D is called Iseo (at least that's what it sounded like) and although it wasn't overly busy - he was attentive and efficient.
It has London origins and has a website at http://www.tacubabar.com. It is close to the church in Ferragudo but can be accessed easier when approaching from Carvoeiro by going straight ahead at the sharp right hand turn with the car park for the Club Nau beach area on the left. It can be found at the top of that road on the left just before the church buildings. The building is part of an apartment complex called Club Rio.
We will go back

Shanagarry, could you put a pin on this on the 'where is that restaurant... section?

Sorry - that is beyond my IT technical ability.
I know a fellow forum member who might be able to do it

Re: Tacuba
We went there not long after it opened in early December for lunch. We were the only ones there so it was without atmosphere. The owner was pleasant and did his best to entertain. Our food was average Mexican in my opinion and the location is dire! I hope does well as we lack a Mexican in this area. Was not so impressed but will try it again soon.
Go through Ferragudo to Vila Castelo resort. turn right up hill towards town and it is at top on left but down below the Clube Rio premiss by the resort communal pool area.
