Club Nau
Club Nau
Praia Grande Beach at Ferragudo.
Awful, such a lovely setting and this was its second chance.
Glutinous Tagliatelli, with cheese sauce solidified on top and no taste. Husband had tasteless Lamb Tangine.
Thats' it now, never again. Great for a drink at sunset but thats all.

Re: Club Nau
It doesnt matter what it cost if it was as bad as Tricky says.....making it expensive just compounds the offence!

Re: Club Nau
Thats what I wanted to know, if it is expensive and bad then dont touch it with a barge pole. If it is cheap and bad you only get what you pays for.
Re: Club Nau
Which one is Club Nau? I've eaten at the one on the steps, overlooking the beach & child play area, just simple Portuguese chicken piripiri, costelletas, etc. it was very good & my husband says the one round to the right as you look at the sea is very good, but I can't remember their names.
Re: Club Nau
Club Nau is the one as you go down the steps and then turn left. The one on the steps on the right is Praia Grande and then one round to the right is Escondinho or Rui's as it is known locally. Then, there is also Kalu which is the other side of Club Nau.blue wrote:Which one is Club Nau? Re: Club Nau
This was one of our favourites last year, great location and good food. The tapas were particularly yummy. Haven't eaten there this summer but a shame to hear about your bad experience Tricky. Would still recommend it for location alone, one to enjoy over a glass of rosé.
Re: Club Nau
Can't fault the location Ditzy and would certainly go for a drink at sunset.
The cost?, not cheap with Pasta coming in around 10 euros and then a shoot up to 20.00 for steak
(have to say though that the steak I saw being served looked fine) Husbands lamb tangine (or tough lamb stew as he called it,
was about 15 euros I think.
Had a fantastic meal last night in Faro old town, Dourada, Sea bass, salad, lovely new potatoes and bread plus a couple of beers each,
26euros in total. There was also fado and dancing, It was very atmospheric. Called Cafe Modernista. The outside lights went our for about 20minutes and everyone just ignored it and carried on eating. Great.
