Tokyo, a small restaurant that used to be in the same little precinct as Taffy's bar in Praia da Rocha has moved, it's in new premises about half 250 yards west of the taxi rank in Rocha on the ground floor of a tall apartment building on the front.
a friend recently told me about it & we gave it a go last night; as you look at it there's a chinese restaurant on the left and a Japanese on the right, they seem to own both.
we went to the Japanese & were very impressed; very nice decor & furniture, friendly staff and a big teppanyaki counter with seating for about 20 with further table seating for about 50 inside.
there's an a la carte menu for the teppanyaki & a separate all you can eat menu for the tables; for €13.95 you get a wide choice of sashimi, sushi & some prawn & vegetable tempura; if you pay €17 you get some teppanyaki on top, we had some lovely salmon steaks with rice.
with drinks the bill came to about €25 a head, great quality and value, very recommendable.
