Had a couple of really lovely lunches again, and it was a lot busier than a lot of places in the Village, give it a try if you passing.

Thanks Joanne, I thought they tended to stay open.

I sincerely agree with the comments about Estrela.do Mar
We were in Car for two weeks in October and had six suppers at Estrella.
The food was, on each occasion, delicious, service very friendly and efficient and the value for money was good.

We look forward to returning next year.

Hello Ellie, how are you?
Directions: If you go up 'restaurant hill' to the top, pass the turning right to Algar Seco and take the next turning left (about 100 yds further on). You will find the restaurant about 150/200 yds on the left.
Quite easy to walk to depending on where you are in CVO.

We have to agree that this restaurant is a very good find. We were encouraged to try it following a card stuck under our car windscreen wipers, and were so impressed that we went back again on our last night. Excellent food, good service (the second time it was not very busy), and very nice people. Definitely now on our list.

You know the "John" was originally the manager of Algar Seco Bistro. When they restructured and brought in Club Atlantico staff etc., "John" opened this restaurant a couple of years ago and the food is better than Algar Seco' was.

I have been past it many times to and from town - perhaps this year we shall pop in and have a meal.

Perhaps we can meet there for lunch one day and then back to 'our' place for coffee?

We will have our BlackBerrys with us so give us a call when you get to the village and we'll arrange something.
