Where is it?
Where is it?
Tia Ilda, someone enquiring about it, where is it?
Re: Where is it?
Just past Sully's on the right going up the hill towards Monte Carvoeiro.

Re: Where is it?
Another place! What's the name of the seemingly new restaurant on the right going past Julio's and before Rocha Brava?
Re: Where is it?
It is 'Raphaiol's' owned by Osvaldo who had place of same name on the out road

Re: Where is it?
Yes, the food is good but not very exciting.Very good service. Restaurant nicely decorated. Unfortunately little atmosphere the night we were there in February, only 6 people dining. Hopefully it will be busier as the season progresses

We had a very good meal there in January, and will shortly be going back.

Re: Where is it?
Tia Ilda is one restaurant I will never go back to. Overpriced for the food that was served up and when we queried the prices that were charged we were told we were paying for the view (the same we could get from our apartment). very disappointing and a sad day when a restaurnat has to justify it's prices not with good food but with a view.

Re: Where is it?
That's a shame if it's true Gaynor. We have used Tia Ilda on and off for the last 6 years, and never had any problems. It's not one of our regulars, but we sometimes go there just for a change. (and when we want to look across at yours and Gary's apartment
)
Re: Where is it?
I'm not keen on Tia Ilda's either. View from the terrace is lovely but they do seem to favour regular customers when alloting tables. Also the food is average.
Re: Where is it?
Interesting point - surely one of the benefits of being a regular is that you get allocated the good tables?
Re: Where is it?
Sorry Graham, i didn't explain myself properly.
I meant that when you wait for a table there seems to be no order and regulars are usually able to jump the que.

Re: Where is it?
Bruce, We felt really down that evening as we have eaten there a few times over the years we have been going to CVO. This was my parents last night in CVO and wanted to make it special. This occassion the food wasn't all that good, with the fish not being fresh and generally it was mediocre. I know my Gary will not go back there as it only has to happen once with him and that's it. I agree the view is stunning but such a shame.
