We made a revisit on our last trip and were not disappointed. Food was excellent, and even though we were too full for a desert, Alex asked if the four of us would like a free one to share, since her mother had made it! All followed with a generous free glass of port for each of us. Recommended.

When you are in england you don't get the same warmth or sevice when you go out for a meal, Elliotts for instance have to make a living but they care about their food and want to make sure every thing is at its best for the customer without being over the top, they are just lovely people who sincerley want you to come back, and we most difinitly will.

After sampling the fish and chips in Elliots, I have to say that I have not tasted battered fish like that for years, it was fantastic.

We used to go to a pub in Blakeney, Norfolk which I thought served the best fish and chips ever, until now! Well done Elliots!

The service was great as well, we were made to feel very welcome, and we were also given a generous free glass of port afterwards.

We will definitely be returning and recommend that anyone who likes fish and chips try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

If you live in Norfolk and want the best fish and chips.....

Go right to the top of Sheringham High Street. Take what I think is the last turn on the right before you get to the wall overlooking the beach.
There is a rather seedy looking chippy down there on the left hand side. To die for.

Now we live down here in Surrey, we drive 50 miles down to Littlehampton on the Sussex coast. There is an equally disreputable looking place on the Harbour wall called Freds.

We buy cod, chips and mushy peas. Sit on the harbour wall, eat them, throwing the occasional chip up in the air for swooping seagulls to catch in mid-air.

Mad driving a 100 mile round trip for Fish & Chips?????

It has to be done
