Getting "hooked up" to the new sewarage system ?

Has anybody any knowledge of the process when the water company connect your house to the new mains sewar ?

Who instigates the work?
Who pays for the connection ?
What happens to your old septic tank ?
When might it happen in Sesmarias ?

Any info gratefully received.

When we constructed our villa last year, all costs were down to us, totaling over 3000Euros
