Broadband connection

Post by Lesley Jean »

 Hi, I know this has been asked before but looking back over other posts I don't think I have got an answer to my question, so here goes:

To those who live in the area and use pc's/laptops. We are looking into having broadband in our house so my other half can use his laptop at a sensible speed (at the mo he uses his Vodaphone card but it is just so slow, especially when getting attachments in emails!) Can you recommend who to go through for good service and connection? Our place is between Lagoa and Benagil, we have a phone line, just need some advise on who to go with please.

Very grateful for any replies

I have used Sapo or a couple of years and have had no problems with the service. Their helpline is good and if you key in 9 after dialling the number you will get straight through to an English speaking operator.

After being without a phone for a couple of months following a move of home and having had to resort to a Vodaphone card it was good to get back to broadband. Vodaphone does offer great flexibility but as you say the speed is low compared with ADSL.

I have seen offers for broadband with cheaper priced phone calls but I have not heard any views on this. Perhaps others can comment.

 Hi Steve, thanks for that, we need to get Broadband into the house very soon or Mike will be climbing the walls with the frustration of slow incoming mail on his laptop.

Great to speak to you again, we are not out again now until August but if you want any of the 'wonder powder' then just let me know as we will be bringing a suitcase with us, (which is quiet uncommon for us) so will have plenty of room for extras!

We will look into Sapo and see if we can get it organised before August. Ta..

Had nothing but trouble from Sapo and Clix. We are now with World Brokers who use Oni, but provide their own support. Its ok, but it does sometimes go off line. Still better than the service we received from the other 2.
