Log Cabins
Log Cabins
Hi
I have seen a comment on here about log cabins and the fact that logoa council won't allow them. We were hoping to put a small one in our garden as a guest room with ensuite and when we went to some of the places that sell theses cabins they say as long as it not a permenant structure then we do not require planning consent. Does anyone know anymore about this? Does anyone actually have one?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this has been the case for some years? and not only with log cabins?
Friends of ours put up a 'prefabricated' apartment in their grounds, thinking they were okay and never bothered with planning consent. They had someone living in there, when the authorities turned up and it had to be taken down.
Can't you go to the camara Liz and find out?
Isn't the 'fire risk' the main reason for the 'no no' on these cabins?
Good luck
