Washing machines

Our washing machine is on its last legs and it is necessary to spend our hard-earned money on a new one.
The best buy at present seem to be Worten own brand, but having had no experience of their products, wondered how other forum members had found Worten products and in particular larger items such as washing machines, fridge/freezers etc.
Advice please and/or alternative best buys.

First things first, are you in Portugal, UK, or another part of Europe. Are you expecting high usage of the unit ie you rent. If you rent and in Portugal then it's high useage and Miele are the best but not very far behind are Bosche which are less cost and both brands are by enlarge well ahead of the rest. We do live in Carvoeiro - assumed wrongly that being on this site people would automatically assume we were here -- mainly domestic useage although we do rent out for a few weeks in July/August.
Main thing was how people have fared with Worten (presumably the local equivalent of Dixons/Currys/Comet ?).

I have a Miele in my UK house ..and a Warton brand here......no problen with either ..so far so good.......and the former cost about three times the price...

We have just bought an indesit washing machine from Radio Popular in Guia (next to Algarve Shopping) 1200 rpm for 309 euros and it is great - so far!!

Cannot comment on Worten washing machines, but the radio and the alarm clock I bought from that brand were shot within months/half a year - silly me lost the original invoices.

The second point I would like to make, is that there is no technical support whatsoever, if the machine breaks down in the first two years you have to take it back to the shop yourself and arrange for a replacement while they send it to the factory for repair
