Solar natural energy?
Solar natural energy?
Seems to be a big thing at present in the UK and we've got no sun, is it an option in the Algarve? It's a 2kW PV system or something like that and you feed electricity back into the grid, it's a bit of a scam I believe but it does work to some extent, just a thought anyway.

Re: Solar natural energy?
There is a national scheme in Portugal, there will be a number of installations licensed using authorised installers.
In the past the schemes were oversubscribed.
The payback period seems to average 7-8 years.
In our UK town someone has done a great job " selling " to the retired.
Large numbers of bungalows have their roofs covered., so gullible are some that I have seen installations on west facing roofs, which would only be really effective a few months of the year in the UK.
The UK governments is in court later this month as it wants to half the subsidy it give those who install solar, the " industry " is taking them to court.

In the UK you will be lucky to get payback in less than 10 years and if the government reduces the subsidy - even longer!
