Salamanca (en route) hotel

I know several of you use the Horus Hotel in Salamanca as a convenient stopping off place when driving to/from U.K. and, on our last visit, found it had been bought back from the Oasis group by the property owner.
To get the best price now you should e-mail them directly at recepcion@hotelhorus.com marking it for the attention of Angel (head receptionist) and saying that I recommended this approach. This last weekend we paid € 88 compared to booking.com 'reduced' price of € 120 !!
