revaluation of properties
revaluation of properties
In proposals announced in the 2012 Budget, a wide scale valuation of property, not yet valued under the "new" system implemented in 2003, will take place. Thus expect all older property values to increase dramatically and consequentially the council tax payable. More on this will be published shortly.
Re: revaluation of properties
About time, think what they have lost especially on large apartment blocks and offices in the cities. Old monied families have paid next to nothing for years on their prime locations. For the rest of us we knew it would happen some day, so will just have to accept the real world has caught up with us.
Re: revaluation of properties
Another little "gem" in the 2012 Budget proposals is that the 5% council tax charge to be levied on blacklisted company held property in respect of 2011 (payable in 2012) will rise to 7,5% in 2012 (payable in 2013) - if the proposal goes ahead.
Re: revaluation of properties
I know of two almost identical houses and within 50 metres of each other, one bought after 2004 and was revalued pays 250 euros a year, the other one pays 112 euros because it was bought late 90s
