Stolen car

Post by steve »

My car was stolen off my drive in the early hours of Monday morning after a break in at my house. It was used to transport away a large TV and may well have been dumped thereafter. It is a 2001 metallic silver BMW 525d saloon registration number 04-84-VM. It is right hand drive because I brought it with me from the UK. If anyone spots it anywhere I should be grateful if they could let me or the GNR at Carvoeiro know.

Being RHD might make it a little easier to spot and less desirable.

I live in CVO between ADM and VDM. I was in bed asleep. I did hear a noise in the night but I had stacked some stuff under the stairs and I thought that this had fallen over. Probably just as well that I did not simply wander downstairs. If I go down again in the night I will be armed.

The robbers also took the key to my second car and opened this up to look in the glove box. The fact that they left this car which is not big enough to have taken the TV and the other stuff leads me to think that the BMW was taken just for transport and not to sell on. Hopefully it will turn up in a few days. It is worth more to me than the insurance settlement.
