New Furniture

We are looking to up grade our shared villa at RB with air con, lounge furniture, and bedside cabinets.

The current supplier of furniture for the show house does not do 3 seater settees.

Can any body recommed an air con and furniture supplier maybe with a show room that they have used themselves.

The 3 owners are going out in November with a veiw to purchasing above and any guidance we be appreciated

There is a very good furniture shop on the right just before you get to the Algarve Shopping Centre in Guia, also one or two inside the shopping centre and in the area by the Nike shop to the right of the centre.
Can't help re air con tho'.

There are two good furniture shops in Lagoa, Ma Mason and Goodwoods. However, both are quite expensive, but very good quality and definitely worth a look. In fact, I think the husband of the lady who owns Goodwoods deals in aircon?

Cheapest way to do aircon is buy the units separately, from somewhere like Leroy merlin (who seem to be the lowest) and get someoe like Luis Soares to install it. Paul Whitworth is good, but will only supply a complet package and its works out expensive.

Leroy Merlin 12000 Btu Jocel unit (heat and cool) for €269 and install by Luis for €150/day + materials

is Louise (from Goodwoods) husband; I bought all my air con units from him; I agree that buying your own is cheaper but we like the comfort of knowing we can pick the phone up if anything goes wrong; they measure your room(s) up and workout what power & size you need; they're in Vale da Lusas near Aqualand on the 125.

I bought bedroom furniture, including bedside cabinets from Sofavip and sofas from Conforama. The latter isn't expensive and all the furniture seems to be wearing well.

We found Sofavip to be very good but you could also consider Ikea. That way you could look in UK and either source from their Seville or Lisbon stores.

For Air Conditioning try Mr Cool in Lagoa - he uses the most efficient units on the market which mean low cost running when cooling or heating. His men work very efficiently and clean up properly afterwards. They fitted units to every room in our villa, and we have never regretted it. Last winter we left the units set at 20 deg C and had the warmest winter ever - coupled with the lowest cost
