watch out theres a thief about!!

arrived here saturday 24/07/10 to find out we had had thieving bastards on our property again!!this time they took 15 solar lights that were in our wooden patio,4 sun lounger mattresses&a garden hose.we normally put away things like the garden hoses&sun loungers as we have had then stolen before but the in-laws were the last to use the villa 3 weeks previous&didnt put them away.we have had stolen previously 3 garden hoses,4 sun lounger mattresses,2 candle lanterns of the patio,2 solar spotlights.i am thinking of installing cctv cameras that can be monitered on-line with intruder activation or maybe just camp out with a shotgun !!!we live in the monte servo area just wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of problems,anybody who sees 15 vivid blue solar lights that have recently appeared please inform me!!!!!

I'm thinking razorwire trip lines might do the trick

monte servo is as you come out of the village on the outroad towards lagoa/intermarche supermarket turn right between the old 'o'raphiel & the new water pumping station/sewer plant go up the hill till it flatens out&that is monte servo,we overlook the carvoeiro to lagoa road approx 500 yards from where the road goes into the in&out road.land mines could be a plan!!!!

Have you got a pool? If so, they are probably partying at that. This is a common problem for us, and others. They use google maps to suss out where to go. When I was last at our place I caught two young lads in our pool - they said they had permission to be there. I pointed out that I owed the place and told them to leave. They obviously didn't believe me (I was cleaning so probably thought I was a maid) because I caught them trying to climb over the back gate again later that day. Our neighbour has put up fencing, which is deterent, but doesn't stop them. We have barbed wire on the top of our fencing, but they still get in. However, never had anything stolen - probably too much effort to drag things up the wall then over the fence.
