child car safety seats/booster seat

Can anyone tell me - in brief - the laws in Portugal regarding child car safety seats? Is it similar to uk regarding child height limits. My daughter is coming out and has 3 children 1, 3 & 6. The 6 yr old is very tall though (1.2+ m) and we wondered whether he needed a booster seat? - clearly the other 2 need full safety seats.

legally the 6 year old will require a booster seat.
