Water - plentiful or shortage

With all the rain over the past month is there any likelihood of water shortages in the summer

I expect so.

In November I read that the reservoirs were only 9% full.
Judging by the posts on the forum over 12" of rain has fallen in December and more is forecast until mid January, but we seem to be short of water every year no matter how much rain falls.

I don't know if you watched the Piers Morgan programme last night regarding the water shortage in Las Vegas - I hope ours is not as acute

We were watching one of the PT channels at lunchtime, there was a report from one of the large reservoirs in the Alentejo which has reached record levels not seen for years, Good news for all concerned.
