bad weather

so much rain and so much damage, seems bad in Madeira and rest of country is on "alert".

on trip out today police were diverting traffic from tunnel near Silves because of minor landslide, loads of trees down everywhere and lot of fields near here flooded

We watched the lunchtime news, heavy snow in the north floods in central PT, trees down in the cities, BUT ITS STILL BETTER than frezzing your **** off in the UK.

Let's get the bad weather out of the way before 5th January!
Apart from last January we have always had pretty good weather in CVO in January.

Exactley EMM, as I write the snow is falling very heavy again here in Manchester, we will be gridlocked again tomorrow. I know the rain & wind has been bad in Portugal, and quite a bit damage done , feel sorry for folks though who have suffered in the process, mother nature is so cruel, but I know where I would sooner be, unfortunately we are stuck in the UK.

For once the west midlands and my area of Worcestershire seem to have missed all the snow - its been cold (down to -4C) but no more than a scattering of the white stuff - we've even had to come home from the pub early as there was no "stuck on the car park" excuse
Looking forward to arriving CVO 31st Dec for our Jan break!!
